| | excited | ] | This is hopefully going to be our house in Portsmouth from July (it's the one on the right)...

We went down to see it yesterday and completely fell in love with the area. We've filled out all the paperwork so providing the references are all ok and everything goes to plan it's ours (well, ours to rent!) It's only a little cottage and there isn't a great deal of space but compared with living in one room it's going to be bliss! It's got a little front garden and a back garden big enough for a table and chairs but whether or not I'll fit a trampoline in there is debateable! It's got a spare room which we'll probably use as a music room/study and put a futon in there so anyone who wants to come and visit is welcome to!
It's a bit more expensive than we wanted but I think it's worth it for the area... it's one of the last houses on a road that leads onto an island which is basically a military base so there is hardly any through traffic - there's some lovely coastal walks/cycle paths all around it so I might have to invest in a bike! It's about a five minute walk away from the little town and they have a Tesco Express just down the road (10 minutes walk tops) so I can get a transfer straight there and won't have to worry about a job and best of all, there wasn't a chav to be seen and even the underpass going underneath the main road didn't have any graffiti or smell of wee - a definite bonus!
Anyway, am very much looking forward to it so fingers crossed for me not failing my exams or something going wrong with the references etc! |

I hope you get it hunny. I'd love somewhere like that. It's so cute. And as a fellow Jersey girl, I know how important it is to be somewhere that is near the sea.
Well, fingers crossed. Where are the bikes going to go. Still have the plan for a garage in the centre?
It's such a quiet area we think we can probably getting away with keeping the road bike on the road, one in the front garden and one in the back garden. Not sure if we're going to be able to afford a garage but I might look into renting a parking space in the centre for when I go to uni. There's a little shed in the back garden so Jonny can keep all his tools etc in there :-)
